What people are saying...
Good service, great -- and creative -- pizzas. They've expanded their menu since I was there last and added a very nice looking bar (though that may just be the Port Douglas location; they no longer have the Cairns location where I first encountered their fabulous pizzas). That said, the menu on their web site is out of date. It's okay since all the food is good, just don't get fixated on something they've got listed on their online menu when they've already replaced it with something more creative.
Extra special pizzas (Mango Jam namesake a speciality), don't miss the mango daquiri and highly impressed by the attention and respect paid to the six under-12s in our group of 13. Casual ambience but careful attention to the customers and the cooking.
We dined @ Mango Jam in June 2007.
Food was gorgeous.
Baramundi Spring Rolls were so tasty.
We are in Port Douglas again in 2 weeks & will be going back for dinner.
I went to Port Douglas on 14/10/06 and I stayed in the Bay Villas resort we went to Mango Jam and thought the foood was lovely the service was great! the next day we came again
GO MANGO JAM!
If you haven't dined at Mango Jam you have not been to one of Port's great restaurants. You will not be disappointed with the food and the great staff who treat you like you are the most important person dining there. Try a liquid dessert or maybe two or three.
I first visited Mango Jam in 1999 and it was lovely - well positioned on Macrossan to watch the comings and goings, with great food that seemed to take advantage of local fare.
Called in for a late bite last week (mid October 06) on the way back form Cape Tribulation and it had been modernised, but still bright and airy with a great outlook and the best burghers around. The menu for more adventurous culinary excursions seemed spot on. Well priced and with really pleasant service - the kids they hire seem to be spot on.
Mango Jam is absolutely divine.
My partner and I have made several trips to Port Douglas and each time we have been there we have had to eat at Mango Jam. Food is absolutely delicious. Coming from Melbourne, we love our food. Try the calamari for entree and prawn pesto sphagetti for main. Both are to die for. Love it too much. Well worth a visit.
Great food, great staff, great atmosphere. We tried most things on the menu during August 05 - none disappointed. We just wish we could find a similar restaurant back home.
Funky, casual and perfect for lunch. Elevated on Macrossan St, so it's great for people watching too. Try the oyster kilpatricks... best I've had in Nth QLD!
fantastic restaurant. If your in Port Douglas you must come here. Excellent food and an excellent atmosphere.
Groggy and seedy after a heavy night of partying at Carnivale, Mango Jam was the perfect after-party-next-day venue! Lunch was light and interesting. We had awesome Oyster Kilpatricks, and the staff are so lovely.
had a great meal at mango jam in sept 03 grilled baramundi
it was excellent if you are in the vicinity go on in you wont be disapointed .
Have your say...
