Cafe Thailand is YUM. For Entree - The Coconut Prawns are big/fresh and very nice as is the Scallops in Special Thai Sauce.
The curries are lovely (although quite sweet). Stirfry's have always been lovely and fresh. Mussamin curry is devine.
Have dined in often and takeaways attract 10% discount.
Highly recommend.

This has to be the worst Thai food I have ever had. I am a big fan of Thai food and thought of introducing it to my relos who had never tried it before. However it was such a disappointment.
The stir fry was over cooked and cold. Not crunchy at all like stir fries are meant to be!!
And then I thought that since the mains were messed up I should atleast satisfy my cravings with dessert. How bad can dessert get rt? Boy was I wrong!! The deep fried icecream came out cold. It tasted like it had been deep fried some time back and then stuck back in the fridge or freezer!
Any restaurant can have its bad days, but what was bad was that even after notifying the staff no attempt was made at getting a fresh made stir fry or fried icecream.

The most authentic Thai food available in Cairns Queensland.
The Satay Chicken, Larb Gai, To Yum Goong soup, Fish cakes, YUMMY!!
The staff are fantastic, so polite with lovely smiles.
The location is lovely being located opposite the Cairns Esplanade waterfront which is a definite bonus for a lovely walk after dinner.
If you need a taxi back to your accommodation, not a problem.
Another good point is that the retsaurant is located slightly away from all the other's which makes for a nice epaceful atmosphere away from all the crowds.
Cafe Thailand also offers alcoholic beverages if you wish to dine the night away.
Just do it! Highly recommended.

This is my favourite restaurant in cairns, I always go there at least once while im there.......Cheap but large delicious meals....:-)
