Menu features the highlights of Leon's career, dishes that are tried, tested and perfected over the years.
Friendly, helpful and multi-lingual staff that wait on your table at all the right moments.
Prices range from $14-$18 for entrees, $16-$30 for mains and $11-$14 for desserts. Each and every dish worth their price.
Open for dinner 7 days a week and lunch only on weekdays.
Their lunch menu changes every week depending on the what's good so you're guaranteed to be surprised.

What people are saying...
Absolute disgrace! Found sharp piece of plastic in our food, didn't even receive an apology! Noticed the chef being advised about it when I went to the toilet, but he decided to go home and let the 15 year old waitress deal with it!
No reimbursement not even a glass of wine! Then three days later I checked my bank account to see they had charged me twice!!!! Talk about insult to injury!! Oh, and they never reply to my messages to put it right!
We were told that Wink was not very good but against better judgement we went there any way... How extremely disappointing, portions are tiny and way over priced, our 7 year old had to order bread after his meal because he was "starving".
There was 3 wait staff and only 1 new the menu etc... We were the only table there and it took approximate 25 minutes to get our meal.
We spoke with a few of the staff who we politely tried to give some of our opinion, only to be told that we were wrong and there know what there doing and they were right. If there heads were not so far up them selves they would be half way there... Never to return list..
Had a gathering at the restaurant over the weekend, my 2nd visit. I had been hoping that the disappointment of my first visit might be overcome, but sadly not to be.
Service was ordinary and the place NEEDS to have at least 1 properly experienced service person to oversee the others. Surly and slow service - inexcusable on a night when the place had perhaps 4 or 5 covers only beyond our larger group. Food was slow, and portions very uneven amongst the 13 at the table. Whilst others who had the steak struggled to get through it, others with alternative dishes were left wanting.
There are plenty of much better places in the immediate area. I wasn't back there by my choice, and won't be back again. Pity.
We've eaten here a number of times and the food is just plain brilliant, very imaginative use of ingrediants and flavours, and (for the quality of what we ate) good value.
The only downsides - location on a busy road junction, and sometimes very slow service.
a few Committee members and partners from the Cairns Wine and Food Society went to 'try' Winks last week and found the food to be excellent. We all decided on the 5 course meal which was reasonably priced and outstanding in presentation and taste. My only complaint is that we asked for two wines which were on their list but not in their cellar. I would highly recommend Winks to anybody for value and excellent cuisine.
My family and I had the pleasure of dining at Wink last night. Although the restaurant looks modest and unassuming, the food and service were better than fantastic.
The waiter was knowledgable and attentive without being fussy.
The food was better than anything I have ever had in Cairns and so reasonably priced for what it was. Flavours and textures balanced perfectly.
A true gem. Highly recommended, I would go back again and again.
Congratulations to Wink on winning the ACF Supreme Award for Best Restaurant. A well deserved recognition of the fine food and service this restaurant (at reasonable prices) this establishment puts out. Our favorite eatery.
Went to Wink lat week with a group of friends. Food is amazing. Each dish had a nice subtle twist which makes it stand out from the norm.
Have never tasted food like this in Cairns before, pleasant change from the usual ho-hum we get dished up.
Staff extremely warm, chef made sure we were enjoying our meals, all in all terrific dining experience.
Keep this one on your to do list.
My partner and I dined at Wink on Sunday night; it was without a doubt one of the most outstanding dining experiences. Ever dish was sensational, with such diversity and taste. The atmosphere was very relaxed yet at the same time possessed high professionalism, with exceptional service by the waitress who constantly greeted us with a smile and possessed impeccable customer service. If only every restaurant in Cairns had such quality and class, rating it a 5/5 we will defiantly be back.
We went to Wink for dinner last week and returned yesterday for the menu du jour. It was excellent and very reasonably priced. Found the staff great and the food brilliant. I had the chicken salad followed by the braised beef cheeks - delicious.
So pleased that we have a restaurant and chef of this calibre in Cairns! Jane
a friend and i went there on sunday night. The service was great, The food was amazing if you get the chance try the appitizer tasting plate entree, and the seafood panache main both offer tastes of a selection of items off of the menu.
my girlfriend and i dined at 'wink' on sunday evening, after reading about it in the cairns eye. it is a very comfortable restaurant with friendly female staff on the floor. my first issue though was the lack of confidence with the staff, it seemed that there were four staff members but somehow had trouble with locating my second gin and tonic, i don't get it. maybe i drink too quickly. the food is smart, and it is great to see an establishment, that is not a generic restaurant in cairns. i feel that everytime i go out to eat it's either japanese, thai, italian, chinese etc, 'wink' is a proper restaurant where the chef that knows his food. prices are reasonable and i would like to check it out when the floor staff have had some more match practice.
7 out of 10
Delicious food, super-friendly and genuinely caring staff.
Every dish we ate was a divine mix of flavours in just the right amounts. In the entrees, the Moroccan Blackened Boneless Chicken Wings we highly recommend and the Curried Lemon Scented Goats Cheese is a must for cheese lovers. For mains we had the Pot Roast Chicken with Taragon Gnocchi and the Slow Braised Lamb with couscous was my favourite.
The desserts were just as fantastic, the Lemon Tart had the softest pastry base that melted in your mouth and the Chocolate Fondant with Pistachio Icecream was perfect for a chocolate cake lover.
It's great to find a restaurant with exceptional food and staff to match. I wish them the best of luck in their new venture and will definitely be back for more.
Attended a conference in cairns and was generally impressed by the quality of the Bistro food in several restaurants. I then stummbled upon Winks. The menu looked intruiging and more sophisticated than Bistro food but it could, in the hands of a less than excellent chef, have been disasterous. I am extremely glad I decided to chance it. The food was out of this world. In London you would have to re-mortgage your house to eat like this. Can't remeber a bloody thing from the conference but I rememeber everything about Winks.
Have your say...

For writing a negative review I was honoured with a phone call from the head chef of Wink, who shall remain nameless, to tell me in no uncertain terms to F' off! Charming!
