A complete guide to Cairns Restaurants

Cactus Jacks

Cactus Jack's is an excellent example of a restaurant that understands its target market, and strongly appeals to that group. Perfect for groups celebrating, or couples who seek a quick, cheap dinner.

You can expect meals too large to finish with a distinctly Tex-Mex style. All dishes are tame on the chilli scales, so it's safe to bring the kids.

The fajitas are particularly popular, and big enough to share between two.

Service was appalling. Unfortunately a great night out was completely ruined by the service staff. Needless to say we won't be returning. Staff are obviously not aware of the rules of the responsible service of alcohol either. A night we would prefer to forget.

Not the best Mexican I've had, a bit disappointing. The atmosphere was nothing special, it was too cold inside (air con, I was freezing) and too hot outside, and the music they played was boring pop/rock that we hear on radio all the time, I wish they could play at least some Latino music to make it feel more Mexican. The food was average if even that, but friendly staff.
