Specializing in fresh local seafood’s and produce, game meats and utilizing many native bush foods, Ochre Restaurant has the exciting flavours that international visitors want.

Along with the fine dining restaurant, our Catering services are also in demand. From spectacular dinners in the rainforest, to picnics in the bush, Ochre Restaurant has proven experience in catering for private dinners, events, Incentive and Inbound groups, including catering for the largest ever dinner in Cairns at an outside venue – 1998 Financial Planners dinner for 2700 people.

Facilities

With seating for 200 guests Ochre Restaurant offers both air-conditioned and al fresco dining.

The fully licensed bar with an extensive Australian wine list is perfect for a romantic dinner or exclusive restaurant use for private functions. Group menus are available, as well as package rates.

Ochre Restaurant also provide outside catering services, including event co-ordination and theme parties. The Ochre Restaurant team offer professional service and quality, anywhere, anytime.

Centrally located in the CBD’s Shields Street, Ochre Restaurant is internationally recognised and offers full account and voucher facilities.

As a chef myself, this restaurant is what passion and love for food is all about. Craig Squire is a genius when it comes to bush food cooking. With his experience in this feild please go try some of the exceptional food they have on their many changing menus. Always fresh, always exciting.....Congradulations boys, wonderful to see your expansion. Good to see Ian finish his apprenticeship...... Danny

Excellent!!! This is a very professional outfit, the best quality all round and for experiencing the gastronomic delights of the animals on the Australian coat of arms and may more exotic critters there is nothing better.
