Eden House Restaurant

The dining experience at Eden house was as elegant and sophisticated as it was fairly priced. The freindly staff made us feel right at home as soon as we walked through the door and then presented us with an impressive menu that instantly brought a smile to my lips and as my eyes locked on to some of the things I was in store for I knew we'd made the right choice for dinner. I found it to be a European twist on modern Australian dining. The combination of a wonderfully delicate beef carpaccio marching proudly around a light yet sumptuous parmesan souffle was a perfect match of tastes and textures that left me stunned and pleasantly surprised to find such a foodies paradise in the heart of the Tablelands. The duck that I decided on for my main course (not an easy choice considering the other excellent options) was cooked to perfection and contained just the right amount of pinkness to get me salivating as the crispy golden skin was peeled back to reveal the treasure within. The desert menu was as thoughtfully presented as the rest had been but I must admit that not being too much of a sweet tooth I opted for a fine port followed up by a short black espresso which is more often than not a perfect finale to any great dining experience. All in all this restaurant was an experience that will make me return to Yungaburra with even more friends in the future simply because great food like this has to be shared!
