I visited this cafe when I was on holiday in August 2007 and 'unexpectedly awesome' is very apt. We had lunch and then went back for dinner. Everything is cooked beautifully - and the pies are made in-house!

I had beautiful sugar cane prawns and crocodile wontons, followed by a main of beautiful tender lamb shanks.

Definitely worth a slight detour!

Unexoectedly awesome is a great descrption. You wouldn't expect to find such good quality food in such an out of the way place. We had the Daintree Delights and especially loved the sugar-cane prawn. The mains at dinner were great too and we went back for lunch the next day and had the best pies of our trip.
