Oliver's Australian Fine Cuisine

Excellent! When looking for Quality food, we recommend this restaurant. We had our 5th wedding anniversary dinner here. What I got annoyed though was my husband kept saying "Hmmm,hmmmm, very nice , very nice, very nice" and I kept saying " I know, I know, I know".

What a delight to be treated to the exquisite food and hospitality of Oliver's. And what a delight to be waited on by the fabulous Xavier and of course, Oliver - they both have a wonderful way with customers and obviously understand what it takes to deliver a fine dining experience. Thank you to you Oliver for a truly magnificent evening, we have booked our Christmas function and shall be back time and again. Fantastic! Thank you too, for going out of your way to make us feel welcome and comfortable, even though we had our 3 month old baby with us, some restaurants are less than impressed with this, so your genuine approachm, consideration and friendliness did not go unnoticed.

A tier up on most other restaurants in Cairns - every mouthful an exquisite bouquet of flavours, although you wouldn't expect anything less from Master Chef David Bres. Watch out for Oliver Schreiber's probing charm...

Having dined at Olivers on many occasions I felt compelled to tell others about the fine dining and food experience it truly is. The quality of ingredients, originality, presentation and service is second to none. Oliver is always a most gracious host who explains the menu and the wine list with a passion not seen in many restaurants in Cairns. Chef David delivers the most amazing dishes every time....Grilled Moreton Bay bugs with thyme served with paella and quandong sangria sauce and Lamb shanks cooked in oriental style, served with a mint flavoured couscous and seasonal vegetables in a spicy broth both firm favourites of mine. The menu changes regularly enough so that you could never tire of it and always has new refreshing ideas to keep you coming back again and again.

I love my food and really enjoyed the dining experience at Olivers, from the moment we walked in and were seated it was all very proffessianal and efficient but unobstursive. The kitchen is an open kitchen which is another endearing quality as is the garden one step up towards the back level where we were seated.
The food was explained to us and recomendations were made, I had the lamb which was beautifully cooked and presented with lots of flavours as described on the menu, my partner had kangaroo and we both agreed that we would return soon, the menu, changes every two months and the chefs did a fantastic job presenting this fine dine food.

A gorgeous little boutique restaurant which is very much the beloved creation of MD Oliver Schreiber. His quest to produce a fine dining restaurant in Cairns has been realised through Oliver's, and his attention to detail and love of good food shines through every aspect of this restaurant. Try the pumpkin & plantain soup entree, it's perhaps the most elegant and perfect pumpkin soup I've ever tasted!
