Cafe Lumiere

At first glance we thought this place was just coffee and pastries, due to the black and white seating and pastries on view. After reading the dinner menu we felt that this cafe had more to offer. The entrees we chose were a prawn dish and the other Hervey Bay scallops, and for main course we chose Fillet Mignon and Duck Confit. In both cases, the appearance of both entree and main courses was almost identical, just with interchanged ingredients. The food was tasty and the setting overlooking the Marina and waterfront was quiet. Reasonable price and comparable wine list . Don't be confused by this cafes coffee shop appearance, try it!

Best quiche Lorraine I've ever tasted in my life ... and I've had a few. Looking forward to trying everything else on the menu. Friendly service, too.

Cage Lumiere is supurb. The ambience surrounding this little cafe is angelic and exquisite, a piece of Paris hidden in tropical Cairns.
The coffee was devine, smooth and rich with delicious pastries to accompany the drink. No wonder I keep returning to this fantastic place.
Service is great encouraging me to always return with friends to talk into the night.
For anyone living the cafe latte lifestyle or who simply enjoys a fantastic coffee over a conversation with friends, this is the place for you.

Dinner for three, service was prompt, the girls adored the french waiter, All were impressed with meals and it didn't cost a fortune. Great place to eat on Cairns Waterfront.
