L'Unico Trattoria Italiano

Sitting out on the deck at L'Unico is one of my favourite places in Australia.
My advice if you are flying to Cairns/Pt Douglas from the wintry Southern states in the morning jump straight into your hire car drive to L'Unico and feel yourself instantly relax.
The view is beautiful with the palms swaying in the breeze, the sea air washing over you. The food is great, the drinks are cold and you will feel a million miles away from the big cold cities down south.
I wish I was there right now!

Wow! Great food and service. I would recommend it to everyone...it's a must-go restaurant! A friendly community on the beach is a great way to dine! Well done!

Lunico is fabulous, always great service, smiling faces and the food is delicious. The owners of this place are great and make for a good atmosphere. Great place to eat, drink and take in the tropical scenery.

Really nice atmosphere, enjoyed the food, very well priced, amazing views looking out to double island and watching the moon rise on the water.............................................pity the one of the owners hasn't got good taste in which soccor team he supports............Cheasea!!!Ha Ha!

Had a late lunch on the weekend before flying out of Cairns. Friendly and good service. Innovative cuisine with a special location. One of our better dining experiences in the area.

We're locals and have been visiting L'Unico for over a year. Having recently been with friends on a busy Saturday night and then again last night with a new menu now in place the owners, managers, staff and chefs should be congratulated. We received fantastic service even though we had a large table, eating at prime time on a Saturday night, nothing was too much trouble. The new menu is fantastic - recommendations are many but the prawns in the cream and pepper sauce was a winner.
Well done L'Unico - keep up the good work - we love coming to visit!!

My favourite restaurant in the tropics. The food is always cooked to perfection, the view of the beach unbeatable and the staff efficient and entertaining. great for lazy lunch or a romantic dinner.

An amazing restaurant. Of course I am biased as my partner proposed to me after dinner here. The L'Unico staff were helpful and friendly, without being overattentive, and the food - I had salmon and barramundi - was just divine. Worth the $.
