The Banana Leaf on the Esplanade

This is hands down my favourite restaurant.
The service is great and the staff are polite, helpful and efficient.
The food is amzing the serving sizes are huge and they are very reasonably priced.

As a treat for my birthday in October 2007, my lovely Aussie-man took his Canadian girl (me) for dinner on the Esplanade. We walked along perusing the menus all down the street until we came upon The Banana Leaf... and looked no further.

We settled in to a most delicious spread of seafood dishes, each tastier than the one before and choc-a-bloc with fresh seafoods. More than we could manage, for a price we could easily afford, with a lovely view across the Esplanade and a pleasant fresh breeze.

I came across this opportunity to review while looking for number to call to make reservations, as we are heading there again this evening with our out-of-town visitors.
