Tandoori Nights

By far the best Indian in town.
I have dined at all the restaurants but this one is by far the most flavoursome and tasty of all the Indian Restaurants.
Their Butt Chicken, Lamb Khorma and Goan Fish Curry are the best in town.
We also had the Lamb Cutlets for entree.
A sensational meal.

I have never written a reveiw before, but I could not help myself with this restuarant! Wow, wow, wow. Having lived in the uk and visited india many times. This is the real deal, do not miss!!!!

Was a bit wary of a restaurant that does breakfasts too but was pleasantly surprised by this place. Group of 30 attended, individual bills, great service, tasty food, nice portions and the price was reasonable for Cairns!
Definitely going again!

We've eaten here probably 8 or 10 times now over the last 3 months. I was rather hesitant to try Tandoori Nights as the previous (Indian) restaurant here was a shocker, but we were pleasantly surprised on our initial visit.
We've tried quiet a few items on the menu and we've not been disappointed yet. Punjabi chicken is a personal favourite and the garlic naan is absolutely outstanding.
Prices are extremely reasonable (both food and drinks) and the al fresco area on the Sheridan Street side is a nice spot.

Sensational food. The atmosphere is so much better now, after the re decoration. But the food, is simply amazing. I love the butter chicken as a main, plus the Tandoori Chicken entree. My wife loves the Chicken Tikka Masala as well as the Pikkoras as entree. We tried the dessert the other night and it was great. I never associated Indian with desserts before, but both desserts were great. We are going tonight again (Feb 14). Looking forward to it totally.

We ordered takeaway tonight. Butter Chicken, Chicken Tikka and also Tandoori Chicken. What a feast. The tandoori chicken was wonderful. The butter chicken was medium heat and we loved it, my wife loves the chicken Tikka. All in all a wonderful feast.

On Friday night last I revisited Tandoori Nights Restaurant on the corner of Sheridan and Grove Streets. The first occasion was with a friend. I suggested this venue to my daughter who was visiting me from Nambour as the food is delicious, the service exemplary and the prices very reasonable. On this visit there were three adults, my granddaughter (10) and two grandsons (7 & 5). This was not going to be a meal without incident as the boys were fidgeting and playing with the serviettes and cutlery. More than once I chastised them as I could foresee disaster. When it finally came it was without warning when #1 grandson fumbled his glass spilling water on the table, himself and the floor. The staff were marvellous the mess was cleared up without fuss save for some teasing that my grandson would have to pay $100 restitution. Before we left the proprietress had her picture taken with said grandson. We left with smiles all round. What lovely people, fine food and the bill came to only $60.00 for all 6 of us (which included 3 drinks).
