Al fresco
Al Fresco, in the strictest sense, means "in the fresh air, outdoors." In a dining sense, this means a building will not protect your table from Mother Nature. Al fresco diners might have a solid roof over their heads, but they will be affected by weather conditions such as wind, driving rain, late afternoon sun etc.
During the summer, al fresco dining can be oppressive and uncomfortable in the tropical north, except if there is a cool breeze blowing. During winter however, this form of dining is wonderful.
