As the name implies, a family friendly restaurant is one that is especially suited to parents and children.
The restaurant may have a kids menu, or child-size meals. A playground may be available, or the establishment may advertise the fact they are family friendly and expect kids to be dining with parents.
A restaurant that is not family friendly may not look kindly on young kids making noise that disrupts other diners.
